How I fit the course work into my life

I took my first degree with the OU and became adjusted (and addicted) to distance learning - so the MA was just 3 more years added on to the rest.

My most cherished interaction on the programme:

Should I say this? Meeting a fellow student at the exam in Reading! I must also say that it is great to see all the photos of people on this site, after only knowing them by name.

Which of the different course models suited me best?

Probably H801 and all that reading. I found the group online activitiers in H802 extremely hard work because of the commitment to others that was involved. However, doing H802 has given me a really good insight into how it all feels as a student, which is obviously useful!

Answers to the Vice Chancellor's questions:

What value was the global nature of the programme to me:

We had lots of readings which referred to other ways of doing things across cultures and countries, but it was great to hear someone's more personal description of how things were organised wherever they worked in the world.

Did I find it isolating or impersonal to study this programme?

No, mostly because distance learning really suits the way I learn. Anyway, there were lots of opportunities for contact with others when you wanted them.

Did I find this relevant to my work:

Yes, it has helped me focus my work more in the area of online education and developing technologies.

Has it changed my life in any way:
